What it is: Glycolic acid is one of the naturally occurring fruit acids derived from sugar cane. The active ingredients of fruit acids when purified are called Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA).
What it is formulated to do: Glycolic Acid rejuvenates skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged surface skin cells. It stimulates new growth of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface. This allows dead cells to be removed gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin. Fine lines, brown spots and dry spots (solar keratoses) can improve with regular applications. May also prove helpful for those prone to acne.

For whom is this product? Glycolic Acid 30% strength is an ideal treatment for busy people who are unable to take time off work for a deeper peel or laser treatment. Glycolic Acids work by stimulating new growth of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface. This allows dead skin  cells to be removed gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin.

Tips to Remember : Keep the acid a quarter-inch or more away from the eyes and mucus membranes. Never use the peel on open wounds, irritated or highly sensitive skin. Don't use the product more than once a week. Avoid sun exposure for at least a day after the peel. Don't apply acid to skin that's been shaved within a day. A slight stinging sensation is normal after applying the acid; if it hurts or is too uncomfortable, rinse off the acid. Skin may be red after a peel; the redness should fade.


Instructions:

ALWAYS PERFORM A SMALL TEST BEFORE USING. FIRST-TIME GLYCOLIC ACID USERS SHOULD ALWAYS START AT 10% TO AVOID BURNS OR IRRITATION.
WE USE 100% GLYCOLIC ACID IN OUR SOLUTIONS, NOT 70% LIKE OTHER GLYCOLIC ACID SELLERS. MEDICAL STRENGTH FORMULA.
Step 1: Cleanse your face, the neck or hands depending on what you are treating, with a mild cream cleanser. Rinse the cleanser thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat dry with a clean face towel.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of glycolic peel solution to the area you have cleansed and toned. You can apply glycolic acid with a cotton ball or cotton swab. Leave this solution on for no more than 2-3 minutes
Step 3: Thoroughly rinse the glycolic peel solution from your skin with cool water, and then gently pat the area dry.
Step 4: Apply a post-glycolic peel moisturizer to minimize irritation and redness. We recommend our Pure Emu Oil or our Tepezcohuite Cream.

  Do not be afraid to order this product, because it is "the real deal". This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. I follow the directions exactly as they are written, and I have yet to have a problem with over-drying my skin. I'm a firm believer in any of the products that this company has to offer.
