| What makes our Hydroquin serum Unique? We
designed
this product to specifically treat melasma. Melasma is a dark skin
discoloration that appears on sun-exposed areas of the face. This unique
combination of glycolic acid, kojic acid, ascorbic acid and hydroquinone
has
been clinically proven to effectively treat the symptoms of melasma.
Hydroquinone alone is not sufficient to treat such skin condition. Our
special formula is not only based on hydroquinone, but is based on a
unique 4- active ingredient formula that exfoliates and penetrates skin
more effectively than hydroquinone alone.
Usage Instructions
Hydroquin serum is
intended to be used once daily at night. Apply a thin layer only over troubled
area. You will experience a light peeling on troubled areas, while using
treatment. Peeling is normal. It is simply the result of glycolic acid exfoliating
the epidermis and bringing newer, clearer skin to the surface. Mild redness is
expected as part of the skin renewing process. Mild redness also means that the
active ingredients are effectively penetrating into the deeper layers of the
skin, targeting skin discoloration to its core. Always use sunscreen of SPF 80
and above (before and during sun exposure) when using treatment. Avoid
excessive sun exposure and wear protective clothing for maximum protection (ex.
hat). As your skin begins to peel, and the active ingredients penetrate your
skin, you will notice that the dark spots begin to gradually fade. Our formula
is gentle with the skin; however, a test should be performed to determine any
allergy to hydroquinone. Use product
completely. One bottle should last approximately 1 month, depending on size of
brown spots. If after one treatment you've reached desired results, second
treatment is not necessary. However, if after finishing one treatment, you
haven't reached desired results, allow a week of rest before initiating new
treatment.
If pain occurs when using this treatment,
discontinue use and consult your dermatologist.
FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS: ALWAYS STORE SERUM IN

What is Hydroquinone?
Hydroquinone is considered the primary topical ingredient for inhibiting melanin production. Its components have potent antioxidant abilities.
Hydroquinone
is a strong inhibitor of melanin production, meaning
that it prevents skin from making the substance responsible for skin
color. It disrupts the synthesis and production of melanin
hyperpigmentation. Topical hydroquinone
is considered by many dermatologists to be a safer, similarly effective
(if not more so), and less expensive option than lasers or deep peel
treatments
Melasma is a general term describing darkening of the skin.
Chloasma is generally used to describe skin discolorations caused by
hormones. These hormonal changes are usually the result of pregnancy,
birth control pills or estrogen replacement therapy.
Solar lentigenes is the technical term for darkened spots on the
skin caused by the sun. Solar refers to sunlight and lentigene describes
a darkened area of skin. These spots are quite common in adults with a
long history of unprotected sun exposure.
Aside from sun exposure and hormones, hyperpigmentation can be caused
by skin damage, such as remnants of blemishes, wounds or rashes. This is especially true for those with darker skin tones.
The most typical cause of darkened areas of skin, brown spots or
areas of discoloration is unprotected sun exposure. Once incorrectly
referred to as liver spots, these pigment problems are not connected with the liver.
